Havre, MT – Havre held their spot at number two in the North A standings over the weekend with a split against Fort McLeod. The Northstars are rapidly approaching the end of the regular season and will play their final two road double headers on Tuesday (July 14) and Wednesday (July 15) this week.
Havre head coach Ben Mader says he is not worried about his teams focus on the back-to-back road trip.
“I’m hoping we can do that with a little bit of momentum. They do pretty well being focused and taking one game at time and one pitch at a time.”
Tuesday Havre will be in Lethbridge for a battle with the Lakers who sit at seventh in the North A standings with a 6-14 League record. Coach Mader told New Media Broadcaster Sports that sticking what they do best will lead to road victories.
“Keys are the same always; try to keep a clean field and stay in strike zone from the pitching staff. We’ll probably be using some younger arms, and they’ve been good as of late so I’m excited to see what they do.”
First pitch Tuesday is scheduled for 2p.m. and Wednesday game one at the Tri-County Cardinals will commence at 5:30p.m.
