(NMB) The Havre Northstars were in Conrad for their final conference road games of the season on Thursday and managed a split with the Tri-County Cardinals. In Game one the Northstars couldn’t make up a five run deficit heading into the sixth inning and fell by a score of 8 to 6. Brody took the loss on the mound. Havre collected eight hits in the game. Eli Cloninger, Ezra Pyle, Theron Peterson and Brody Nanini had two hits each. In Game two the Northstars scored 5 runs in the 3rd and eleven runs in the fourth inning and cruised to a 23 to 13 victory. Five Havre Pitchers combine for the win and they pounded out 20 hits in the game. Havre will host Medicine Hat on Saturday afternoon for their final regular season games, and will host the North District Tournament beginning Thursday July 21st.
