Northstars Sweep Chargers on Road

(NMB) The Havre Northstars continued their winning ways on the road in Great Falls Wednesday night against the Chargers. Game one was an 8 to 6 victory. Havre started the scoring in the first inning on a Quinn Elliot single to take a 1 to nothing lead and added to the lead in the second inning on an Ezra Pyle single and a pass ball.  The Chargers tied the game at 6 in the bottom of the 6th inning, but Havre answered with two runs in the top of the seventh to win by the 8 to 6 final. Tommy Lewis earned the win on the mound for Havre giving up six hits and 2 runs in five innings of work. Lewis also had two hits in three at bats. Quinn Elliot led Havre with 2 RBI’s

An eight run fifth inning for the Northstars was the difference in the game two 9 to 1 win. Quinn Elliot and Cooper Walton combined for a two hitter, had ten strikeouts and no walks in the game. Havre’s offense was led by Colter Solomon who was two for three at the plate. Tyson Brandon, Tanner DeLarosa and Conner Essert each had one RBI. With the wins Havre has won 8 of their last nine games and is currently 13-5 and 1 on the year.
