(NMB) The Havre Northstars were in Lewistown on Tuesday evening and won both games of the doubleheader 3 to 2 and 3 to 1.
In game one, the Northstars scored two runs in the 2nd inning. Lewistown tied the game with two runs in their half of the third. Havre would go ahead for good in the 6th. Colter Solomon Singled, Drake Berreth doubled, and Solomon scored the winning run on a pass ball. Brody Nanini got the win on the mound going six and a third innings allowing two runs on seven hits and striking out six. Solomon got the final two outs to seal the victory. Offensively Drake Berreth and Ezra Pyle each collected three hits.
In game two, trailing 1 to 0 heading into the fifth inning the Northstars would score three runs including a two-run home run off the bat of Jevin Jenkins and that would be all the runs Havre would need. Tanner Delarosa went the distance on the mound, giving up just one run on five hits and striking out six.
Havre will play in the Glendive tournament beginning Friday.
