(Havre) After dropping a pair of conference games to Lethbridge on Saturday night at Legion Field, the Havre Northstars American Legion baseball team got back to their winning ways Sunday afternoon with a pair of wins over the Fort Mcleod Royals by scores of 13-3 and 13-0.
In game one, a 13-3 win, Jevin Jenkins was good on the mound going six innings, giving up just 5 hits and striking out six. Offensively the Northstars scored 5 runs in the 5th inning and cruised to the victory. Offensively Havre collected in 8 hits. Brody Nanini had two hits and Colter Solomon had three hits.
In game two a 13-0 shutout, Quin Elliot threw a no hitter going 5 innings, striking out three. Offensively Tyson Brandon led Havre going 2 for 2 at the plate and driving in 5 runs. The Northstars scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning, 7 runs in the 3rd and added 3 more runs in the 4th. As a team havre racked up 13 hits and committed no errors defensively.
The Northstars hit the road on the 4th of July for a pair of conference games vs the Lewistown Redbirds.
