Pony Post, October 5th, 2026
Havre Public Schools just wrapped up Homecoming festivities with lots of events for all our students to participate in. The games and events were well attended, along with a fun parade last Friday, at 3pm. The community of Havre always does such an excellent job supporting all our students in all activities -Go Ponies!
On October 13th, at 6:30pm, the Havre Board of Trustees will be interviewing candidates to fill the open trustee seat. This application for the open seat will be available through the end of the day on October 8th, 2026. Please see Moses Deanon if you are interested and would like to fill out an application.
On October 8th, our K-5 schools will have Parent-Teacher Conferences from 4:15-7:15pm. The next day on October 9th, the K-5 buildings will have conferences from 7:30am-12:30pm, while grades 6-12 will have a Support Friday opportunity. As always, I encourage our students to take advantage of the Support Friday opportunities when they are available.
The Havre Public School Board approved the Community Development Block Grant at last month’s regular meeting. If we receive funding for this grant, our district will be able to make almost $1,000,000 in updates to Lincoln McKinley. This would provide updates to all restrooms, the roof, and new carpeting throughout the building. I will keep everyone posted throughout the year, if the grant is obtained.
Finally, our Havre Public Schools website is in the process of being updated. The goal is to make our website easy to use and accessible for all. Please check the website for weekly updates, along with new accessible links.
