Havre, MT – Football season is on the horizon with the Havre High Blue Pony football program concluding their offseason and starting official practices next weekend.
As is the nature of high school football, head coach Jake Eldridge lost some seniors from last year’s team. The big offseason question was who will step up and fill those roles to help establish the identity of the team.
Coach Eldridge knows that those roles help the team find its identity which is where he believes they have improved the most. “Just kind of trying to see where we’re going and who we’re gonna become as a football program, and I think that that’s really where we improved.” coach Eldridge said. “We had a lot of kids that kind of step up an filled some roles and showed that they’ve improved enough to where they can help us out on Friday nights.”
Somewhere the Blue Ponies won’t need new starters is the offensive line coach Eldridge returns the line and loves the potential they bring to the team. Havre High Football starts on the road in 2025 on August 29th in Whitefish.
