U.S. SENATE (NMB) – U.S. Senator Jon Tester announced that the City of Great Falls will receive two grants worth more than $1 million to build and repair housing for low income Montanans.
A press release says that the $1,067,750 in funding, which is provided by the Community Development Block Grants program and the HOME program, is allocated to local governments for affordable housing development, community development, and expansion of economic opportunities for low-to-moderate income families.
The CDBG program is providing $794,600 to help Great Falls construct and restore hosing for low and moderate income families. the remaining $273,000 from the HOME program will specifically go towards low and very low income family housing.
