MALTA, Mont. (NMB) – The Phillips County Health Department received notice on Wednesday of a positive case of COVID-19 in a non-resident.
A press release states that the individual had been working in Phillips County for the duration of their illness. The woman is in her 60’s, symptomatic, and has been instructed to remain isolated until fully recovered.
Contact tracing is ongoing and close contacts will be identified and will receive a phone call from the Health Department on how to proceed.
This is the first case of COVID-19 discovered in Phillips County, which has not had any county residents test positive for the virus since the pandemic began.
Also on Wednesday, Valley County confirmed three new COVID-19 cases. The county has reported a total of 11 cases, of which six remain active. This means the Governor’s mask directive is in effect in Valley County.
