(NMB) The Post season has arrived for the Havre Blue Pony Volleyball team. After a successful regular season, the Ponies earned the number one seed out of the Northeast “A” Conference. Havre will compete in the Eastern “A” Divisional volleyball tournament Thursday through Saturday at Lockwood High School. In final preparations this week, head coach Cassie Krueger says the Ponies have just been fine tuning a few things.
“This week has just been focusing on defense, like just fine tuning. Fixing little things like pressing a little harder over the net and focusing on our offense and just working as a team. Communication.”-Krueger
The top four finishers in the Divisional tournament will advance to the State class “A” Volleyball tournament in Bozeman. Coach Krueger believes if the Ponies focus on themselves, she has no doubt, they’ll be advancing to that State Tournament.
“Focusing on what happens on our side of the net. We know that we are going up against a bunch of very solid teams, and I truly believe if they can focus on what they’re doing and keep their minds right, that we’re going to walk away with this thing and go to state.”-Krueger
Havre will play host Lockwood in their opening round match-up Thursday afternoon at 1pm. New Media Broadcasters will have results as they become available.
