(Montana) So far, 188,246 voters statewide have cast their ballots absentee, and for those who haven’t mailed them yet, the only shot at getting them counted is to drop them off in person at your county elections office or a designated ballot collection site.
For Montanans registered to vote and planning to cast a ballot at the polls, you’ll need to show a current photo ID before you sign the poll book and get your ballot.
Under current state law, that identification can be a driver’s license, state-issued ID or a tribal, military or student ID. Voters without one of those options can still access the polls using a document with their name and current address, such as a utility bill, bank statement or a voter registration confirmation card.
