MISSOULA, Mont. (NMB) – The Missoulian reports that the Missoula County Commission has put a proposal on the backburner that would turn a golf course into a large housing project.
The proposal is to build 2,000 housing units on what is now the Larchmont Golf Course. 800 of those homes would have been designated as affordable housing.
The golf course would be moved south near Blue Mountain and US 93.
The majority of those that spoke or provided written comment were against the proposal.
The Commission says they will continue to look for areas in Missoula that could be turned into housing.
