Rail Comes to Havre for Beaver Creek Jam

(Havre) – On October 21st the rock band Rail will be performing at the Great Northern Fairgrounds as part of the Beaver Creek Jam. Terry James Young the Lead Singer and Bassist talks about how the band started.

“There was a point in time when family moved from San Francisco to the Seattle Area in 69 and that’s when actually we got together is 1969 in Junior High. Three of us did and then the fourth member Rick came in when he was a junior in high school about 3 years later. And we we’re playing high schools and parties and things like that and when the band graduated, we decided we were going to go for it. So, we did, and from that point on we’ve been together ever since as a rock group. So, we’re going on 50 plus years right now as far as playing rock and being together as a four-piece rock band.”

He also talks about why they decided to play Havre.

“Well for one thing there was a promoter that would like to have us in your area and we’re not foreign to Montana, we’ve played in Montana many times. A lot of times when you go through large states like Montana or Texas in those areas you like to get routing gates in as cities are 3 to 4 hours apart and not everybody can come to the city, you’re going to so you try so you try to get multiple cities in a large area if you can and Havre is certainly on the list. I mean they took the opportunity to get us up there and were excited to be up there. We’re going to be bringing it, so Havre get out there and get ready to rock because we’ll be there soon.”
