ROCKY BOY, Mont. (NMB) – Rocky Boy Councilman Michael Corcoran, commonly known as “Big Mike,” was found dead on Monday.
Rocky Boy Chief of Police Larry Bernard confirmed the news on Tuesday morning.
Corcoran was elected to a four-year term on the eight member Chippewa Cree Business Committee in 2018.
Corcoran was also a member of several Chippewa Cree sub-committees and was the Chairman of the Community Development Corporation, according to the Chippewa Cree Government website.
He was also serving on the Rocky Boy Health Center Board of Directors.
Bernard believes Corcoran died of natural causes. The death is not under investigation.
He was 45 years old.
