HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Early Sunday morning, a Rocky Boy man was arrested following a high speed chase in a stolen vehicle.
Hill County Undersheriff Stan Martin says that 18-year old Jacob Wade Russette was arrested for motor vehicle theft, fleeing or eluding police officers, possession of dangerous drugs, and driving without a license. He also had warrants.
Martin says that a vehicle that was reported stolen from Bullhook Bottoms in Havre on Saturday night was found by Rocky Boy Police on the Reservation around 3 AM Sunday. Russette allegedly fled from police, reaching speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Russette pulled over on Highway 87, where he was arrested. As of Monday morning, he was in the Hill County Detention Center on an $8,170 bond.
