HAVRE, Mont. (July 13, 2026)— The City of Havre, along with its partners, the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Hill County, continues to advance the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan. As part of the planning process, the project team has identified potential improvements that could reduce crashes and enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and other users.
Community members are invited to visit the SS4A Safety Action Plan booth at the Great Northern Fair on Friday, July 17, between 4 and 7 p.m. to learn about the plan, review the proposed safety improvements, and help identify which improvements should be prioritized for future implementation.
“Community input is essential to ensuring this plan reflects local needs and priorities,” said Trevor Mork, Director of Public Works for the City of Havre. “We’re inviting residents to review the proposed improvements and tell us which they believe would make the greatest difference.”
Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive budgeting activity that challenges them to decide how to allocate limited funding to improve safety in our community.
The SS4A Safety Action Plan booth will be located at Booth #33 in the Commerce Building at the Havre Fairgrounds, 1676 U.S. Highway 2 West, on Friday, July 17, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Community members are welcome to stop by at any time during booth hours. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions, discuss the proposed improvements, and gather feedback. No formal presentation is planned.
