HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Thursday, April 25th, Havre’s Salvation Army will be hosting their annual meeting and volunteer appreciation dinner, along with the Havre Food Bank and Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen. Salvation Army Social Services Director Trina Crawford says the event is free to the public due to table sponsorships from local groups. They feature speakers and entertainment.
“Our special speaker this year is going to be Captain Harvey, who is from the divisional headquarters out of Seattle. He is over all of the Northwest Divisions programs, such as our emergency services here in Havre. Our entertainment for the annual meeting, volunteer appreciation’s is going to be Sherry Miller and Brad Taylor.”
Crawford says they also feature people who have been helped by these organizations.
“Kind of a highlight of it is, not only the speaker, but we find a person who has been helped by the Food Bank, soup kitchen, or Salvation Army, and they do a little thing that’s called My Story and this year, Camile Weiss is going to do the My Story portion of this. And she’s got quite the story of recovery and doing really well.”
The dinner will run from 6 to 8 PM at the St. Jude’s Parish Hall. Everyone who wants to attend needs to RSVP by Wednesday, April 24th by calling 265-6411 to make sure they have enough food.
