Senate Passes $3B VA Supplemental Funding Bill

(Hi Line – Isreal Hale) A bill that would provide the Department of Veterans Affairs emergency funding for veterans’ disability compensation, pension, and readjustment benefits passed through the senate.

The VA reportedly faced a 3 billion deficit during the 2024 fiscal year, which this bill promises to cover in addition to language which would require more transparency and reporting from the VA on its spending and budget.

The bill passed before the September 20th deadline, avoiding a delay in VA compensation and pension benefits.
