HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The annual Memorial Day Service in Havre will take place in front of the Hill County Courthouse on Monday at 11 AM.
Brian Carpenter, Road Captain for the Local American Legion Riders, says the service will take between 45 minutes and an hour.
“We’ll have the National Anthem sang, we’ll do the 21 gun salute with the honor guard, we’ll have a flag line there for that representing each branch of the service, and then the Elks, VFW, the Legion, the Legion Riders and a few other groups will all place a wreath in honor at the memorial at the corner of the courthouse lawn.”
The service will be followed by a free Chili and Soup Luncheon at the Elks Lodge. This was unable to take place last year due to the pandemic.
