SHELBY, Mont. (NMB) – The number of COVID-19 cases in Toole County continues to climb.
Sunday’s Department of Public Health and Human Services update included five new COVID-19 cases in the County, bringing their total to 25.
All five of the new cases are in residents over the age of 60.
The outbreak in Toole County is related to a long-term care facility in Shelby.
Three of the six Montanans that have died from the virus are from Toole County.
The Toole County Health Department reports 5 of their COVID-19 patients have recovered, while two remain hospitalized.
Other Counties in our area with confirmed cases of COVID-19 include Cascade County with 13, Glacier, Richland and Roosevelt with three each, and one case each in Liberty and Hill Counties.
Two of the cases in Roosevelt County have been confirmed to be health care workers on the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Reservation.
As of Sunday morning, there are 387 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Montana. Six patients have died, 22 patients remain hospitalized and 169 patients have recovered.
