(US Senate) US Senator for Montana Tim Sheehy saw his Aerial Firefighting Enhancement Act pass the House of Representatives on Tuesday, now heading to President Donald Trump’s desk for approval.
The bill, introduced by Senator Sheehy in January alongside Senator Martin Heinrich of New Mexico, will strengthen the wildfire suppression fleet and ensures the United States can better combat the year-round threat of catastrophic wildfire, according to its sponsors.
Seven senators and two state representatives joined Sheehy in support of this bill.
