Sheehy’s Aerial Firefighting Bill Signed into Law to Boost Wildfire Response

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senator Tim Sheehy joined President Trump Thursday as the president signed Sheehy’s first bill into law—the bipartisan Aerial Firefighting Enhancement Act.

The new law aims to strengthen the nation’s aerial wildfire response fleet.

President Trump also signed an executive order to improve the federal response to wildfires.

Sheehy called the actions a step toward faster, more effective wildfire suppression as the country faces a record-setting fire season.

The bill passed both chambers with bipartisan support.
