Havre, MT – With Skylights basketball tipping off their regular season this weekend there will be noticeable differences with Coach Mouats team in 2025.
Coach Mouat has the shortest team he has coached at Northern this year and is adjusting the teams play style as a result. Coach Mouat told New Media Broadcasters what the big difference is on the Skylights 2025 roster.
“We’re small, It’s the shortest team I ‘ve ever had bay far. We’ve usually had two traditional bigs in the paint and it’s really getting harder and harder to get those kids this year for whatever reason.” Mouat said.
Coach Mouat explained how they will have to change up this year’s style of play.
“We’ve modified the way we’re playing and we’re going to play to what suits us, so we’re going to spread it out a lot more and people will probably see us shooting a lot more threes than normal. Gotta play to our strengths and i do think we have a very good shooting team.”
The Skylights tipoff their season in Armory Gym against the Texas A&M San Antonio Jaguars on Saturday, November 1, at 5p.m.
