The MSU-Northern Skylights fell to 0-11 in conference after their 59-36 loss to Carroll College last night.
Potential Frontier Conference Player of the Year, Jaime Pickens, and the Carroll College Saints came into the Armory Gym and showed everyone exactly why they are the number one team in the Conference and the #11 team in the NAIA.
Carroll College scored the first 13 points of the game before a Ryley Kehr layup ended that streak and gave the Skylights their first points of the game at the 4:27 mark of the first quarter. Carroll continued to expand their lead in the 2nd quarter, taking an 18-point lead in the break. Carroll would extend that lead to 22 early in the 2nd half, ultimately extending it to 25 at the end of the 3rd. Thats how the rest of the game would shape out until the final buzzer. Carroll would teeter between leading by 23 to 29 for the last 7 minutes of the game.
Jaime Pickens ended the night with 14 points and 7 rebounds. For the Skylights, Ryley Kehr and Briaunna McCullough each had 10 points.
The Skylights will try again to get their first Conference win when the University of Providence comes to town Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is at 2pm on KPQX
