Skylights fall Saturday, while Lights go long for a win

MSU Northern finished up the weekend in Billings, matching up with the Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears.

The Skylights started the day’s session, falling 76-41 to Rocky. Briaunna McCullough was the only Skylight to reach double figures in the game, with 12 points.

In game two of the day, MSU-Northern & Rocky Mountain couldn’t contain their action to regulation time, After trailing 12-2 in the onset of the game, the Lights fought their way to an 86-84 triple overtime victory.

Five Lights ended up in double figures, headed up by 15 points from Jesse Keltner. Immanuel Anderson put up 14, and 11 points each from Zackry Martinez, Dae’Kwon Watson, and Anthony Braggs, Jr.

Northern will return to the Armory Gym Thursday, January 26, as the teams host Montana Western. Skylights will start the session at 5pm, with the Lights meeting the Bulldogs for a 7pm tipoff.
