(NMB) After falling in the first set, the MSU Northern Skylights won the next three defeating Rocky Mountain College on Senior day 3 sets to 1 (20-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-18)
In set two Nothern jumped out to a 12 to 5 lead, Rocky went on a 5 to 0 run to cut into the lead, but the Skylights held on for the second set win. The 3rd set was a back-and-forth affair until Northern went on a 6 to 1 run to take a 14 to 9 and never looked back to take set 3. In the fourth, the Skylights put together a couple of different runs and went on to win the match 3 to 1.
Alana Graves had 14 kills in the match, Jessa Chvilicek added 12. Baily Egan led the team in digs with 34 and Macee Murphy had 27 assists.
Northern finished the regular season 12 and 13 overall and 4 and 6 in The Frontier Conference.
The Skylights will compete in the Frontier Conference tournament Friday and Saturday in Great falls.
