Skylights Volleyball Ink Newest Signee

The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball program made its third signing of the offseason and its first transfer. Defensive specialist and libero Brooklyn Minden is set to join the Skylights in the fall, landing from North Idaho College.

The Post Falls, ID native was an instrumental force last season for her team, being named captain as a sophomore and leading the Cardinals to a (32-2) overall record with a second-place finish at the Northwest Athletic Conference Championships.

Individually, Minden’s 2023 stats included 813 digs, 104 assists and 60 aces. She accumulated 3.89 digs per set, which was a number that caught the attention of Skylights’ coach Jerry Wagner to recruit her.

“Brooklyn will elevate the level of play in those around her and overall add to the level of intensity and competition in our gym,” Wagner said in a press release. “Academically, MSUN lined up very well with Brooklyn’s interests as she will pursue a degree in Integrated Health Sciences.”

Said Brooklyn after signing, “I chose MSUN because I wanted to continue my volleyball career and felt this was the perfect place to do so. The school also offers the program that I wish to further my education with.”

Minden will have two years of eligibility remaining and she will start her Northern career during the 2024 volleyball season.
