Havre, MT – Wednesday night Skylights volleyball travels to Great Falls to take on Providence University, the third ranked team in the country.
The skylights took on Providence at home back on Wednesday, September 12. Northern dropped that match 3-1. The skylights then rattled of five straight wins to now sit 7-4 in conference play.
With round two against Providence looming, Head Coach Jerry Wagner spoke to what it will take to emerge victorious.
“We need to hit more shots with purpose that have something attached to them, maybe it’s a deep corner and they don’t pass it right on top of the net. We have had some super blocking efforts as of late as well. I believe those two are strengths that I have mentioned all year that we got to try to get ourselves in those situations and just cut down on the shots without a purpose attached to them.”
Match time at Providence will be at 7p.m. Northern will have a short turn around and host Rocky Mountain and Carroll College on Friday and Saturday.
