Skylights Volleyball Ready For New Challenges After Bye Week

The resting period is over for MSU-Northern Volleyball. The team has concluded the bye week and are now on to prepare for game competition once again.

Head coach Jerry Wagner said the bye week went well and discussed what the team did during the time away from live action.

“We were able to pinpoint what we wanted to work on going into this second half that we must improve on in order to have more success than we had the first half of conference (play),” Wagner said. “That is the goal and I think we accomplished that really well.”

Wagner discussed the strategies implemented during the rest period and what the team will change heading into game week.

“Last week was identifying those things that we need to work on,” Wagner said. “We need to get into and out of certain rotations (and) lineups that we’re maybe spending too much time in.”

“(We need to) put pressure on those particular rotations and find different ways (and) different plays and patterns that we can run in order to help us get out of those.”

MSU-Northern takes on Montana Western in Dillon later this week.
