Havre, MT – Skylights Volleyball comes away from first conference road trip with a split.
Skylights Volleyball now sits at 3-5 on the year after defeating Rocky Mountain College on Friday and loosing at Carroll College on Saturday.
Head coach of the Skylights program, Jerry Wagner, told New Media Broadcasters that despite the split he believes his team can compete with anyone. “Well I felt we’re a team that can play really strong against anyone.” Wagner continued, “(we had) little slower start than I was hoping but once we got things going against Rocky in the first match, we were very consistent the rest of the way threw, got stronger and stronger. Any time you can on the road and get a conference win, it’s a plus it puts you ahead of the game.”
Skylights volleyball hosts the fifth ranked Providence Argos for their home opener Wednesday, September 10, at 7p.m.
MSU-N skylights volleyball follows that up with home battles against Valley city state on Friday September 12th at 7p.m. and on Saturday against Mayville state at 5p.m.
