HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Representatives from the Montana Renewable Energy Association (MREA) will be in Havre on Thursday to discuss the latest when it comes to small-scale solar energy.
Evora Glenn is the Program Coordinator for MREA and says they will talk about rooftop solar.
“Just discussing the process you go through to do that and what resources are already available. And then we’ll transition to learn more about why folks are interested, what’s their biggest priorities, what there biggest concerns are, and moving into a discussion about those things.”
Glenn says small-scale solar can benefit homeowners, businesses, and farming and ranching operations.
“Wherever you’re using energy, we think especially if it’s part of a business that you’re running, there’s ways where you could save money with this long-term investment. So that’s something we want to make sure we can share, the resources to folks in case they are interested in that. To make sure they can access it and that they know it’s available to them.”
This free event will take place from 5:30-6:30 PM in the Fireside Room of the District 4 HRDC building, located at 2229 5th Avenue.
The Montana Renewable Energy Association is a nonprofit that says its mission is “to foster the growth of renewable energy for all Montanans through education, advocacy and industry engagement.”
