(St. Mary) The Saint Mary Canal repair project will be receiving an additional 2 million dollars from the Bureau of Reclamation’s Dam Safety Office.
This comes as the previous BOR funds were set to expire, and new funds coming as part of the Fiscal Year 2025 government funding bill would not come until next year.
This funding comes after avocation from state senators, with the repairs already underway after NW Construction broke ground on the project just over a week ago.
The BOR says that the estimated completion date for this project is September of 2025.
