Chinook, MT – Chinook High girls basketball hosted Box Elder and Fort Benton on Friday and Saturday for their first games of the new year and dropped both.
The Sugarbeeters fell 54-43 to Box Elder and 53-42 to Fort Benton.
Chinook head coach, Jill Barta says her team is still very young and adjusting to a new coach.
“You know our girls are young and working with a new coach, with new plays is something totally different. Each game I can definitely see, watching film, these girls are taking that next step. down the road I think We’re a team that people are going to have to start watching our for especially when our girls start connecting and clicking with the plays.”
The Sugarbetters will look to secure their first home win of the season on Thursday vs Cut Bank.
