Havre, MT – Now with the end of the offseason approaching and a new coach on the sideline Sugarbeeter girls’ basketball is preparing for the challenge ahead.
Former Montana High school girls basketball state champion Jill Barta has taken over the Sugarbeeter program and told New Media Broadcasters what her teams offseason looked like.
“We didn’t do any camps, but we did do open gyms and then we did early morning at 6a.m. doing drills, shooting work outs and stuff and we had pretty good turnout. The younger girls are pretty motivated, of course some of the older girls don’t quite know who I am yet, maybe they know me but aren’t quite use to what I’m trying to do here. Overall for the summer I think the girls did a very good job coming and you know being very open to having a new coach.” Barta Said
The Sugarbeeters can start official practices on November 21st later this year.
