Sugarbeeters Host Big Sandy for Matchup Number Two

The Chinook Sugarbeeters Basketball Teams hosted the Big Sandy Pioneers Thursday Night for matchup number two of the season.

In game one, the Lady Sugarbeeters came out with a (71-40) win over the Lady Pioneers. Hallie Neibauer scored a game-high 24 points, continuing her impressive resume on the season that may result in an All-Conference Player of the Year Nomination.  Alexis Seymour scored 19 points including four made 3’s in the first half, the sophomore has hit seven 3’s in her last two games. Bree Swanson (13 pts) along with five other Sugarbeeters getting on the scoreboard helped lead to the victory. The Lady Sugarbeeters remained undefeated now with an 11-0 record.

The Boys Sugarbeeters fell to the Pioneers in game two (72-42). The Sugarbeeters started the game slow falling to a (20-4) deficit at the end of the first quarter. Chinook tried to battle back being outscored (12-14) by the Pioneers in the second quarter, but Big Sandy maintained and built the lead in the second half. Brenden Fetter scored a team high 15 points, after being injured and missing most of the first quarter with a sprained thumb. Braydon Cline (24pts) and Isaac Pedraza (20pts) lead the way for the Pioneers.

Chinook Basketball is back in action Saturday Night, when they travel to Box Elder. Tip of for game 1 is at 6PM on KRYK.
