Sugarbeeters Improve to 5-2 After Dominate Performance Against Harlem

Chinook, MT – The Chinook Sugarbeeters football team finished off their four-game homestand last Thursday night by welcoming in the Harlem Wildcats to town. They were able to jump on top fast on the scoreboard by scoring five touchdowns in the first quarter, four of them thanks to their Senior running back Carter Alisch.

After falling to Fort Benton last week, head coach Mike Jones caught up with NMB sports after the game and shared that they wanted to make sure to establish a good game plan against the Wildcats and get the offense back in a grove.

“We wanted to make sure the offensive line, and running backs and quarter backs had good mesh. We wanted to take care of business on our line so that was the game plan going through and I thought they did pretty well,” Jones explained.

Chinook will hit the road next Saturday to take on the Box Elder Bears with Kickoff set for 2 p.m.
