With the annual Everybody Loves Firefighters Food Drive looking to gather donations for the Havre Community Food Bank, Kiera Patera of the HRDC District 4 discusses what gets done with the food that is donated.
“Demand for the food bank has continually grown over the last couple years with increased food costs and those kinds of things. But we definitely see an extra peak going into the holiday season with families needing a little extra food to make sure everyone gets enough. So, the donations brought in from the food drive are sorted and then put out on our shelves to go back to the community.”
