The Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees had their December monthly meeting Tuesday night at Havre Middle School.
In his report, Superintendent Brian Gum reported that student growth continues at Havre Public Schools, as the district now has 1,813 students up 20 from this time in 2023. Gum also provided the board with updates on maintenance projects at the various district schools, tax credits for the district’s electric busses, and the status of an Environmental Protection Agency grant that the district and Bear Paw Development are partnering to secure.
Havre High School Assistant Principal and district safety coordinator Jeremiah Nitz informed the board about security improvements within the district and Havre Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Holly Bitz made a presentation to the school board on Fall testing and the testing plan for the entire 2024-25 school year.
The next meeting of the Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees will be on Tuesday January 14th, 2025 at Havre Middle School starting at 6:30pm.
