CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – On Tuesday, Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook reported their third COVID-19 related death, an additional COVID-19 positive resident, and two more COVID-19 positive staff members.
In total, 12 staff members and 22 residents of the facility are COVID-19 postive, including a resident that was sent to the hospital.
Sweet Memorial Nursing Home says four members of the Montana National Guard arrived at the facility on Monday to help with staff shortages.
Positive residents continue to be isolated in one area of the building and positive staff are isolating at home.
All staff and residents continue to be regularly screened and tested for COVID-19.
Blaine County
On Tuesday, Blaine County reported six new COVID-19 cases, had six cases meet the recovery criteria, and reported two COVID-19 related deaths.
One of the two COVID-19 related deaths appears to be the one reported on Tuesday by Sweet Memorial Nursing Home.
Blaine County has now reported 380 total COVID-19 cases. 131 are active, including 11 hospitalizations. 239 have recovered and 10 have died.
