(NWS) Cold weather conditions are set to hit the north-central Montana region again this week, with some temperatures predicted to hit their lowest of the season.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with National Weather Service of Great Falls Lead Meteorologist Jim Brusta.
“When you have air temperatures around 30 below and wind chill in the 50 below, you can get frostbite on exposed skin in less than five minutes. So, even if you’re just going to walk a block to school, you can get frostbite. It’s that cold. You need to make sure everything is covered up if you going to go out, especially during the morning hours”
The temperatures are low enough that some local area schools are closing or delaying school until temperatures subside. Stay tuned for up-to-date information on temperatures on all NMB stations.
