Tester Announces Nearly $2M for Havre Head Start Classrooms

U.S. SENATE (NMB) – U.S. Senator Jon Tester on Friday announced that the Northern Montana Child Development Center in Havre will receive nearly $2 million to fund their classrooms next year.

In a press release, Samantha Clawson with the Northern Montana Child Development Center say they are proud to be able to continue to offer early education through their Early Head Start and Head Start programs. She says, “We hope to be able to expand our programming to support much needed services for our service area of Hill, Blaine, and Liberty Counties.”

The Northern Montana Child Development Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms will receive over $1,956,000 to fund early childhood education for local families.

They accept children ranging from newborns to five years old and serves families in Hill, Blaine, and Liberty Counties.
