Montana State University-Northern Lights football collected their first of the season in part by holding Eastern Oregon to just seven points. Defensive coordinator Dylan Wampler spoke postgame to how their consistent effort and mentality helped deliver the win.
“D-line, I mean, I’ve been saying it from the jump they are all dogs. I don’t f it’s the first group, the second group, they are rotating in, they are the guys on our team, they are the enforces and they let it be known. I’m super proud of those guys.”
On top of the Northen defense holding Eastern Oregon to just 37 yards rushing and 250 total yards of offense, they also forced four turnovers in the 23-7 victory.
Wampler’s defensive line will have their toughest challenge yet coming out of the bye week with No.5 Montana Tech in town on Saturday October 11th. Kickoff will be at noon, and you can listen on KPQX.
