For the last five years Jermain Charlo has been missing from Missoula. Guy Baker, the lead detective investigating the case explains more.
“So, in the summer of 2018 a Native American female named Jermain Charlo was reported missing from the city of Missoula, and I got assigned that case and then over the next almost five years she’s been missing here in a couple months. There has been a ton of time and resources expended on our search for Jermain. Most major case files are one three ring binder maybe two sometimes. Jermain’s case file is six or eight very large three ring binders. I’ve contacted or interviewed well over 100 persons, identified numerous persons of interest, and some suspects and keep working the leads as the come but have not found her yet.” -Guy Baker
He continues to explain the various investigative theories.
“So, there’s a couple different investigative theories, one that there might have been a domestic type of incident, another one would be the sex trafficking possibility, and then a third would maybe possibly be a drug involved incident that contributed to her disappearance. None of those have been ruled out simply because we don’t have the answers and haven’t found her yet, so I’m keeping an open mind.” -Guy Baker
