There’s a New Way to Understand Forest Fire Reduction

(Washington)- The Biden- Harris Administration is announcing that the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service has launched a new interactive map showing the progress the agency and its partners have made in addressing the wildfire crises in eight western states, including Montana.

The map is an interactive way to visualize the impact of investments made to reduce wildfires. It is designed to be easy to use and show the progress of wildfire reduction. It also allows users to identify national forest, congressional districts, and other boundaries.

Forest Chief Randy Moore said, “with this story map, audiences across the country can see in real time where investments are being made to create safer communities and healthier, more resilient forest.”
