(Bozeman) – A seventy-six-year-old Three Forks man has died following a two-vehicle collision near Bozeman last week.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after nine p.m. at the intersection of Jackrabbit Lane and Durston Road. Troopers report that a thirty-year-old driver from New York was traveling eastbound in a Toyota Sequoia when they failed to see a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling northbound on Jackrabbit Lane. The SUV broadsided the motorcycle, throwing the rider from his bike. The driver of the Sequoia escaped without injuries.
The motorcycle rider, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was rushed to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital with serious bodily injuries. Authorities confirm he later passed away at the hospital. The Montana Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
