The Frontier Conference came out with its All-Conference volleyball awards earlier this week and MSU-Northern was well represented.
Senior middle hitter Alana Graves from Ballantine, MT was named First Team All-Conference for 2024. She will go down as one of the great Skylights of all-time, finishing first in kills (1.289) and first in blocks (351) for her career. Graves was named to this list all four years she attended Northern and was also on the All-Freshman team in 2020. She will graduate with her degree in nursing.
Junior setter Macee Murphy from Ballantine, MT finished as an All-Conference Second Team member. This season, she recorded 16 double-doubles, 15 of them in assists and digs. Adding kills to her account, she was also the only player in the conference to have a triple-double, recording nine of them.
Emily Bird of Towsend, MT became the latest Skylight to have her name in as an All-Freshman. On the Skylights team alone, five servers recorded 20 aces or more in 2024 and she was the only freshman to achieve that feat.
