HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The rate of new COVID-19 cases in Montana is continuing to trend downward.
In their Thursday morning update, the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services reported 132 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths across the state.
All but one of the deaths occurred prior to March and were identified through data reconciliation.
Cascade County reported seven deaths, Yellowstone three, and Teton one.
The known active COVID case count in the state dropped down to 859, while the number of COVID-related hospitalizations remained at 79.
Cascade County led the way in newly reported cases with 37.
The percentage of eligible Montanans considered fully immunized is at 55 percent, with over 1.41 million vaccine doses administered.
