Tik Tok ban in Montana on hold until federal case resolved.

(Helena) The move to ban the popular app TikTok in the state of Montana has been put on hold until the federal case involving the app and its owners is settled.

The Montana Legislature passed a bill last year that would stop TikTok from being downloaded in the state. The app immediately challenged the bill.

TikTok has been under fire in the greater country, however, with the Biden Administration pushing its owners to sell the company or get banned in all of the states.

Until the national lawsuit reaches a conclusion, all parties involved, including Attorney General Austin Knudsen, said it doesn’t make sense to move forward with the Montana-specific ban.
