(Deer Lodge) Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) hosted a townhall in Deer Lodge to discuss implementation and enforcement of the Milltown Water Right.
ore than 40 people came to the public meeting to learn more about the practical application of the water right. The Milltown Water Right is split into two parts – the Blackfoot and Clark Fork rivers.
FWP and CSKT representatives walked the attendees through a presentation discussing enforceable flow rates, likelihood of call and what water users can expect in years to come.
