(Havre) – At 2 pm today Hill County Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator Amanda Frickel told New Media Broadcasters that a train derailed two miles west of the transit yard.
The train remained on the tracks but one of the cars it was pulling fell of the rails and landed with its wheels in the dirt. There were no injuries from this derailment.
Frickel said that plans are to cut the derailed car from the train and attach the rest of its cars back to the engine allowing the train to continue on its journey.
It is unknown at this time why the train car derailed.
